This adorable little girl named "Spring" was the main souvenir doll at the fifth-annual R. John Wright convention which was held in Albany, NY from Sept. 26-28, 2013. She was the first issue in a new "Four Seasons" series of toddler dolls dressed in vintage-style children's clothing.
Darling Spring is made of the finest all-wool felt. She measures a diminutive 7 1/2 inches tall which represents a brand new cabinet-size child doll from R. John Wright. She is fully jointed with the RJW ball & socket system with internal wood mechanism. Spring's felt torso and limbs are sculptural and her tiny expressive hands have individually-sewn fingers and molded details. Her sweet molded felt face is delicately hand painted and her wig is made of the finest mohair.
Spring is costumed in a period dress made of fine hand-dyed Italian cotton organdy with dainty lace trim and handmade silk rosettes at the waist. She wears cotton panties and socks and finely cobbled all-leather Mary Jane shoes. Spring's bonnet is constructed of bonded pierced felt. Under one arm she holds her own toy rabbit made of wool felt with glass eyes, inserted whiskers, and tiny embroidered features.
Like the other "Seasons" dolls, Spring is limited to only 100 pieces worldwide. Each will come beautifully boxed with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.
