It's hard to believe I am writing this in 2016 - our 40th Anniversary of doll making! The seeds planted in our formative years continue to bear fruit after four decades and are the testament to our love and passion for the work we do.

Being at the helm for our 40th Anniversary year is both a privilege and a cause for celebration. We have many very important RJW events lined up this year and I can't wait to see you at one or more of them! There is so much to share with you and you are on the Inside of it all. Once again, on behalf of our company, and our dedicated staff, I wish you and your families, a happy and healthy 2016.

Sincerely,
New on the RJW Blog: January 2016 Collector Spotlight

At R. John Wright, we have some passionate collectors that help inspire us everyday. One of the best things about collecting is making your collection your own. How people like to collect is up to them and taking a peek inside a collection of a passionate person is one of our favorite things. Recently, we had the chance to meet Michael Maskery. He is passionate about the Wizard of Oz and his vast collection and ways of displaying it are just as whimsical and fun as the movie.

We are thrilled to announce that John & Susan Wright will be making a special appearance at a ticketed dinner event at the 67th Annual 2016 UFDC National Doll Convention. This event will feature an exclusive RJW doll under a special agreement with the Vermont-based family of famed American illustrator, Tasha Tudor. Tasha Tudor’s work is cherished around the world for its whimsical imagery and celebration of simple pleasures, which makes R. John Wright truly a ‘Kindred Spirit’.

This will mark the first time the R. John Wright Company has interpreted Tudor’s iconic artwork in doll form and is guaranteed to capture the essence and wonder of the Tasha Tudor art. The event is limited to members of UFDC (United Federation of Doll Clubs). Please enquire at www.ufdc.org for membership details and further information on the upcoming Convention, 'Kindred Spirits', which will take place from July 27-30 in Washington, D.C. We hope to see you there!

Who doesn't love a great top 10 list? R. John Wright compiled his very favorite dolls ever produced by R. John Wright Dolls.

R. John Wright Dolls has created over 500 individual designs since 1976 and it was pretty hard to choose 10 favorites.
