The R. John Wright "Pocket Series" began with the release of "Pocket Pooh" in 1993. The following year due to popular demand, it was decided to expand on the success of Pocket Pooh by offering the other animal characters in the Winnie-the-Pooh books in the same miniature scale. The first addition to the series was Pooh's best friend, Piglet.
Measuring just 2 1/2 inches tall, this delightful miniature version of Piglet is jointed at the neck and shoulders and made of custom-made felt with glass eyes and airbrushed coloration. Like all R. John Wright Piglets, one arm is designed in a bent position for added expressiveness.
Pocket Piglet wears his trademark green onesy made of custom-dyed felt with a row of incredibly tiny custom-made buttons down the front. Every detail has been carefully researched to capture the essence of Piglet as depicted by E. H. Shepard in the original Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne.
Pocket Piglet was produced in a limited edition of 3500 individually-numbered pieces and sold out the year of release. Pocket Piglet came enclosed in his tiny deluxe RJW presentation box along with a mini illustrated booklet, an accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity, and the forms for owner registration.
